About Jungle TV
JungleTV is a video sharing website for the Banano community. Banano is a feeless, instant, environment-friendly cryptocurrency that's ripe for memes.
On JungleTV, users can earn Banano by watching YouTube videos that are added by other users to a sort of continuously evolving playlist - the queue. The videos play in sync for everyone, making the experience similar to watching TV or a livestream.
Before participating, make sure to read the guidelines for acceptable content and behavior.
You will have to spend some Banano to enqueue media. How much you must spend is determined by factors like the amount of people watching and the length of the queue.
The Banano spent to enqueue each piece of content is distributed among the JungleTV spectators who our fraud prevention monkeys deem sufficiently ripe. Make sure to set your address to earn rewards! If you watch enough media, you'll eventually make enough to enqueue your own - or to recover your initial spending!

GUIDELINES
-
No repetitive messages or spamming in the chat.

Botting, inactivity-bypassing, and multi-accounting are strictly prohibited. 3rd party scripts which specifically interact with JungleTV are not vetted by the team; for your own safety, we strongly advise against their use.
-
Advertisement of anything unaffiliated with Banano or Jungle TV is prohibited (This includes shilling other currencies, or promoting similar services. General crypto conversation is allowed).

Any queue entry which does not do this specifically but is still deemed repetitive by the moderators, will be left to the users to decide, and the cost of community skipping will be considerably reduced.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is JungleTV?
JungleTV is a video sharing website for the Banano community. On JungleTV, users can earn Banano by watching YouTube videos that are added by other users to a sort of continuously evolving playlist - the queue. The videos play in sync for everyone, making the experience similar to watching TV or a livestream.
How does JungleTV work?
You will have to spend some Banano to enqueue a video. The amount of Banano required to enqueue a video is determined by factors like the amount of people watching and the length of the video, as well as the length of the queue.
The Banano spent to enqueue each video is distributed among the JungleTV spectators who our fraud prevention monkeys deem sufficiently ripe.
How can I enqueue a video?
Click on the "Enqueue video" button on the top right and follow the instructions. If you're on mobile, you'll need to start by tapping the hamburger menu icon on the top right to see the "Enqueue video" button.
-
Paste the YouTube video URL in the text area and click "Next". The video can't play for longer than 35 minutes in a single entry, but longer videos can be queued in parts.
-
YouTube live broadcasts are now supported, just paste the URL as normal, and choose how long you want it to play. Only streams with 50 or more viewers are allowed.
-
You can check the "Make video unskippable" checkbox to prevent your video from being skipped by other users, but the enqueue cost will be 6.9 times higher.
-
The "Select a time range to play" checkbox allows you to set a specific section of the video to play, which you can set using the sliders.
-
Click/Tap "Next" when you are happy with these settings. The next page will display the title and thumbnail of your requested entry.
-
You will be shown a Banano address (as QR code and text field); select an option and send the specified amount of Banano to submit your entry! Sending more Banano will increase the rewards for viewers for watching the video. You can choose the following options - "Add to end of queue", "Play after current video" or "Skip current video and play immediately" - and the cost will update to reflect your selection.
Please remember to check geo restriction status of the video to avoid causing inconvenience for other users. If the video is unavailable in most parts of the world, moderators may remove it from queue.
How can I register for rewards?
Banano
Navigate to the JungleTV Rewards Page and enter your Banano address. You will be asked to change your representative to prove ownership of the account. You will be shown a good representative, which we recommend to use instead to help decentralisation of the Banano Network!
NFTs
When logged in with your Banano address check the rewards page again, below your Banano address you should see "Account Connections". Click the icon and follow the steps in order to connect your JungleTV address to your Wax account - you'll become able to receive NFT drops! This only needs to be done once, and when it has been successful you will see your wax address displayed beside the green cryptomonKeys icon!
Why am I not receiving rewards?
If you're not receiving Banano payments, in most cases the fix is one of the following:
Are you:
- Using a VPN?
- Logged in with 2 devices or more on same IP?
- Failing captchas?
If yes: This is why you aren't receiving rewards. They should resume
If no:
- Clear JungleTV cache & cookies (make sure you have your Vault/Nault seed saved in case you clear all cookies!)
- Close JungleTV on all devices
- Wait a minimum of 30 mins (keep JungleTV closed the whole time)
- Try not to fail captcha when you return
For VPN users
If you are not eligible for rewards due to using a VPN, you will need to disconnect from the service for a minimum period of 30 minutes before connecting again (from an IP address that is not a VPN) and begin receiving rewards. Otherwise, there is a chance the system will associate your new session with the previous one and continue preventing you from receiving rewards.
Why do I need to change representatives?
A representative change is required only to verify that you own that address and to prevent others from impersonating you in chat. You can change your representative back after your address has been verified. Changing the representative of your account doesn't grant anyone access to your funds.
You can also go to creeper.banano.cc to check for various representatives, their uptime and weight information for nodes.
How do I change my nickname?
By typing the command /nick followed by the nickname of your choice, you can set your own name in the chat (Ex. /nick JTV Viewer).
Alternatively, you can go to the rewards page and click the "Edit profile and nickname" button.
How do I colour my nickname?
Users who request videos are highlighted in chat with different colors depending on how many videos requested by them are currently in queue or have played in the last 4 hours.
- Tier 1 video requester (blue highlight) - at least 1 video
- Tier 2 video requester (yellow highlight) - at least 5 videos
- Tier 3 video requester (rainbow effect) - at least 10 videos
The user who requested the currently playing video gets a icon next to their name in chat.
